Privacy policy

Written for this site specifically rather than adapted from a template, because a policy that does not describe what actually happens is worth nothing to either of us.

What we collect

Three things, and nothing else. We do not run advertising, we do not operate tracking pixels, and we have nothing to sell your information into.

What you type into the formCompany, your name, work email, state, and optionally the approximate spend, the carrier, and a note. Collected so that we can answer you and assess whether a review is worth your time.
Documents you uploadOnly after you have signed the authorization and confidentiality agreement, and only the business records needed for the review. We ask you not to send anything identifying an individual person.
Messages to the written assistantStored so we can see what visitors actually ask and improve the answers. Do not paste documents or personal data into it.
Ordinary server recordsOur hosting provider keeps request logs, including IP addresses, for security and reliability. We also record the IP address and browser at the moment an agreement is signed, because an electronic signature is only worth something if it can be attributed.

Cookies and similar storage

We set one cookie. It is issued when you complete the first step of a review, it holds a signed reference to your submission so that the later steps know which file they belong to, and it expires after fourteen days. It cannot be read by scripts in your browser.

The written assistant keeps a conversation identifier in your browser’s session storage so a conversation survives a page change. It is discarded when you close the tab.

There are no advertising cookies, no analytics cookies, and no third-party trackers on this site. If that changes, this paragraph changes with it and the date above moves.

Who processes it besides us

Naming them is part of being checkable. These are infrastructure providers; none of them reads your file, and the analysis itself is never subcontracted.

VercelHosts this site and runs its server functions. Sees ordinary request data.
SupabaseStores submissions, signature records, and uploaded documents, encrypted, in a United States region.
ResendSends our transactional email: the countersigned copy of your agreement, and confirmations you ask for. Sees the address and the message it delivers.
AnthropicPowers the written assistant. Receives the messages you type into it in order to answer them; configured not to train on them.

We do not sell or share your personal information, we do not use it for advertising, and we do not use your documents to train any model.

How long we keep it

Documents you uploadThe duration of the engagement plus 24 months, then deleted. Earlier at your written request, unless a record must be retained by law.
Signature recordsKept for as long as the agreement could matter, because their entire purpose is to establish later what was agreed.
Enquiries that go nowhereDeleted when it is clear nothing will follow, and in any case on request.
Assistant conversationsKept in order to improve the answers, and deleted on request.

What you can require of us

Depending on where you are, the law may give you the right to know what we hold about you, to receive a copy, to have it corrected, and to have it deleted. California residents have those rights explicitly, together with the right not to be treated differently for exercising them.

We do not require you to prove those rights apply to you before we honor them. Write to info@anchorreclaim.com and say what you want done. We will confirm in writing when it is done.

Where we handle documents on behalf of a client company, we act on that company’s instructions with respect to information in those documents, and we will direct a request about such information to them.
